Comments
Riding conditions were great today everywhere except slopes that faced the sun which had a thin crust. We saw a lot of steep terrain and no recent avalanches.
Our snowpit on a northwest aspect at 2150 m, treeline, had no layers of concern and no test results. The snowpack was soft on top and got softer as you went down.
It was calm and sunny once above the cloud. A great time to be in the backcountry!
