Glacier Crest, Lookout Col and Ravens

Started the day going up Glacier Crest. Couple tracks observed down the Dogleg Couloir from yesterday (?) so we skied the Frenchman Bowl from near the summit. Widespread natural avalanche activity with crowns up to 80 cm observed on both the west and the east side of Glacier Crest anywhere the slope was 30 degree and over with some hangfire left in places. The hangfire was cautiously approached in a couple locations and seemed to have bonded to the underlying surface hoar/crust combo. A full depth test pit on the WSW aspect of Lookout Col revealed the same bonding trend (see snowpack tab). The skiing down into Lookout Bowl, carefully avoiding the steep solars, held some of the deepest and lightest density snow skied all day. The ski down the Ravens, which have avalanched SZ 3 during the last cycle also had very light snow but the bed surface and some rocks could be felt in places. Of note, a solo skier was observed skinning and then bootpacking straight up below the Dogleg Couloir.
