Surprise Surprise! 🥳 Snow came earlier than expected North of Elkford today. As we started waking uphill around 11:30 as it started to snow. It started chugging as we approached the ridge, during the time it took for us do dig a profile it had snowed 5cm in 1.5 hours. It was nice to see ❄️ again! The top 20cm of snow was soft that made for some great turns. With low visibility of the ridge to assess cornices, we skied a sweet line in the trees. We were definitely in a snow hole as we reached the staging area it was no longer snowing and didn’t see any flakes all the way back to Fernie
