Powder day! Observations taken just below ridgeline. No signs of instability. Very little wind transport. Slight surface hoar growing in sheltered areas. No evidence of last week's surface hoar. The thick ice crust is now buried under 75cm of loose dry. Didn't do compression or sheer tests but the interface seems to be fairly well bonded for now. Top 75cm hasn't formed a slab yet but gradually firms as you dig with 30-40cm of recent storm snow on top. 155cm HS. There is still a lot of alder in the region.
