Comments
HS of 45 cm on SE aspect at 2350m. Knife-hard crust at ground level with low-density settled storm snow on top. Small (1mm) facets observed on the crust, but compression test showed no results. Ski penetration 10 cm on fast snow. Decent skiing in low-angle meadow terrain. Alpine zones wind-stripped to rock during the storm. Intermittent squalls throughout the day. Below 2100m, snow became sticky and wet on exit.
