Comments
Snowing steadily throughout the day ~15-20cm on the latest surface hoar layer. Cracking observed in this soft slab as we entered more open terrain above tree line and became more sensitive the higher we got at which point it became clear it was time to peel the skins.Triggered sluffing turning to a sz 1.0 avalanche on a steep pitch ( >40deg) running far and fast. I would expect the slab to become more hazardous with added snowfall and wind. Heads Up tomorrow!
