Comments
Casual camping trip to elfin lakes. Rode slopes north of the standard elfin lakes trail. The snow was super powdery and splashed nicely. 30cm ski penetration when skinning.
Several very small crowns of 40 cm depth along the steeper parts on northern slopes of the ridge.
Noticed small settlement of the snow, when breaking trail.
Small surface hoar started forming on the new powder.
