Comments

As of Dec 8th. Great ski conditions. Rimed / faceting surface hoar on all aspects 2-5mm at treeline and below. Some wind slab forming right at at ridge top. Appears that another surface hoar layer (4mm) was buried around here last weekend (Dec 2 or 3?) now down 15cm, producing easy results in compression and shovel tap tests (3-6) in a test profile at 2000m, 33deg, NE aspect. Snowpack is right side up, F top 25cm, steady increase in hardness to P above Nov 12 crust (135cm down). Snow is now dry and faceting below the crust.
