Comments
The morning started promising with some sun peeking through. Just enough snow to skin from the car but definitely still thin. Alder was significant on old roads. Below treeline, there was nice undisturbed powder ~100-130cm. Above treeline, ridge features were getting wind and developing some minor windslab on North aspects. At ~2300m on E facing glaciated terrain, the probed snow depth was 230cm with only 180cm on the much more wind affected W side. Weather came in hard with strong wind around 1pm. Alpine slopes were unpleasant with low vis but treed slopes were great. Everything we touched seemed fairly right side up and well settled.
