Comments
Snowpack was weirdly inconsistent and highly variable.
Heavy, sticky snow (perfect for snowmen) at low elevations was producing beautiful, large pinwheels on steep slopes.
Snow became less sticky, but remained heavy as we increased elevation.
There was an intermittent crust overlaid by 1-5cm of snow in treed areas at and below treeline.
Powder pockets were also present in trees areas.
Heavy clouds rolled in and it began snowing large flakes around 3pm, reducing visibility and ending the day.
