Températures froides et vents forts de l'Ouest sur les sommets des Mines Madeleine. La glace est à la surface dans les endroits exposés aux vents. Sinon, il y a environ 15 à 20 cm sur la croûte dans les endroits protégés des vents à la limite forestière et sous celle-ci.
