Comments
Had Torpy all to ourselves today with generally stable conditions. It was warmer than we anticipated with temperatures of -5 at treeline. On steep south facing slopes climbing the burn we noticed some sun crusts. At ridgetop it felt colder with the light to moderate north east winds. There was wind affected snow at ridgetops, but decent conditions in more sheltered areas in Third bowl. We saw no new avalanches, but avoided areas with potential windslabs.
