Comments
Surface conditions were good above about 1400 m. Below that a melt-freeze crust exists near surface. We were able to release the recent 40 cm of storm snow on unsupported rolls at about 1600 m. Besides that no signs of instability to upper treeline elevation. Substantial wind effect was noticeable in the open cutblock, likely from Friday's storm.
