Comments

Popular open cut block. Skiing repeat line, skier was at lower cliff line when the crown remotely triggered at the top of the slope, over convex roll. Stepped down small amounts at multiple places on the slope. A significant amount of debris accumulated in flat at the bottom but fortunately the skier remained standing and was thrust to the base of the runout with only legs partially buried. We were conscious of the storm slam on the upper crust but did not give due consideration to the persistent weak layer.
