Comments
We observed several loose wet sz 1 on SE aspects , no slab activity but did hear 2 small Whumpfs with small propagation cracks , were able to kick out a few of our switchbacks later in the day. 20cm of snow sits on the Feb 2 rain crust . Hand shears on sun affected steep slopes showed planar results below the crust , down 30 . The slab was heavy and although not showing us obvious signs of reactivity , we decided to turn around at a nervy mandatory traverse at the top of a large start zone. We stuck to the ridge which was fun and rode out on a lee aspect .
