Warm temperatures (+3) up at tree line, beauty day up high.
We found a significant weak layer down 30 cm (first picture - large surface hoar 15-20mm). Snowpack tests gave moderate sudden collapse results with propagation (second picture).
We avoided steep slopes and sunny slopes.
