Comments
We saw it all at Beadnell today, it was alternating snowflakes, raindrops, and sunbeams landing on rain-wetted surfaces. All we were missing was avalanche activity to cap the day off, but there was nothing significant to be found as far as the eye could see. There was evidence of some pinwheeling and small wet point releases from the past 12-24 hours. All of the surface snow ranges from wet to moist, much of it showing it had been through a warm/cool/sun/freeze/rain cycle at least once in its existence. It is definitely feeling like spring out there, slush to be played in and the sun packs quite a punch. The top 10-20 cm was feeling isothermal today but that will likely change with the forecasted overnight cooling ahead of us.
