Comments
Light snow throughout the day. Started to go up the west wide of rainbow mountain but pulled the plug. Highly variable snow conditions. Deep light powder in (south and east) leeward areas, with large swaths of wind slabs across most aspects. Some cracking was observed while breaking trail at around 1600m, by 1650m we decided we didn't want to be on the open face face with an a huge windslab -- plus the skiing was terrible with flat light. We pulled the plug and did a lap on Gin instead, where the skiing was great.
