Comments

Skied a couple laps on Begbie Shoulder. On our way up we saw signs of cracking around 1800m and up. Heard some drum like sounds on the ridge from buried wind slab. Triggered a size 1 on a classic convex roll around 1900m. 30-50cm of storm snow seemed to be quite touchy. Seemed more reactive at that elevation band. Saw some evidence of small slabs from the previous day. Below 1800m things seemed to slough more rather than act as a cohesive slab. Skiied conservatively, lots of fun in the trees, good snow.
