Comments
First half of the trail up to Mear Lake is thin and rocky. The lake itself had approx 30cm of soft snow over the crust at the bottom of the snowpack that made for fun, but careful, sledding. Total depth 50cm. Couldn't see the overhead hazard in the alpine because of cloud, so we stayed around the lake and then headed home.
