Found some fun riding north of Elkford today. The rain line from earlier this week seemed to be around 1600 m. Total snowpack depth was around 130 cm at 2000 m, and we could still find evidence of the January surface hoar and November crust in our snow pits. We saw evidence of recent storm slabs that stepped down to the weak persistent layers in the alpine.
