Comments

Went for another day in Torpy and it was puking even harder than yesterday. Stopped for lunch and a profile to find our gear buried by 10 cm of new snow! It snowed about 5 cm per hour throughout the afternoon. Didn't go up high, but it was less windy in the valley than we expected. We did a test pit and got easy sudden results on a layer of styrofoamy graupel 40 cm deep. We're pretty sure this was the graupel that was falling yesterday when we unloaded our sleds. Overall it seems like there's been about 50 cm of new snow in the last two days around the cabin. Good chance there's even more up high. Sledding in the new snow was unreal, but we'll be sticking to mellow terrain for awhile.
