The modified Arctic front reaches the BC coast this morning with outflow winds through coastal inlets diminishing in the morning.

A new Pacific front will bring snow to Northwest ranges.

A frontal system crosses the region, followed by an unstable upper trough. 

Expect morning snow and afternoon flurries. Gusty southwest winds should ease through the day.

Forecast for Tonight - 4 p.m to 4 a.m PST:

Dry and cold conditions continue under the ridge further south.

Light snow developing over the North Rockies then spreading south. 

Chance of flurries in the evening followed by a drier northwesterly flow aloft.

Dry and cold conditions continue under the ridge.

Partly cloudy skies are expected. Windy across the North Rockies.

Light snow tapering off across the southern half of the BC interior. 

Upper level ridge departs as a storm system approaches from the west.

Increasing cloud. Chance of flurries late in the day and moderate snow likely overnight.

The next opportunity for organized precipitation looks to arrive for the second half of the workweek with a new Pacific front hitting the BC north coast on Wednesday.

The latest guidance suggests the front slides southwards through the rest of the province Wednesday night and Thursday. Stay tuned.

An Arctic airmass under a ridge of high pressure will keep conditions cold, crisp, and mainly calm, except for strong winds across the North Rockies.

A new Pacific front spreads snow to the southern Yukon - Klondike and Northwest ranges today, followed by light snow in parts of the interior tonight and early Tuesday.
