Took advantage of a very narrow am clear window to try the 7000. 5cm new snow at tline but strong west winds in alpine with significant effect on snow. Descended the big Simpsons ramp but pockets of fresh windslab there and and visible in the lower and central hourglass caused us to reconsider the day and avoid pushing conditions on the main 5000. We bailed out to lower big Simpsons. A friend observed fresh natural windslab release in little Simpsons though I missed it so no details.
