Comments
Extensive surface hoar development observed. Up to 4 cm btl, at tl to alp becoming heavily rimed and smaller (1-2 cm) (from higher valley cloud yesterday?) on most South and west aspects we traveled. Highly variable snow surfaces below the surface joar with wind effect from nw and ne. Very hard supportive crust on south aspect with 2 to 8 cm faceted and surface hoar newer snow over it, HS 20 to 40 cm. Skied ok today, will be spooky when buried.
