Comments

We went to Shames backcountry for the third day in a row. We observed about 5cm of new fresh snow on yestersay skin track.

Midday, Dome shoulder wasn't much affected by the wind yet but stro g wind was blowing across the slope from the col. We went down and then skin trought Powder 8's and Fish bowl to get shelter from the cold wind. We were a little surprise how the wind was still blowing lower in the bowl.

We saw a lot of variability on the way up. We observed about 10cm wind slab on open field of Fish Bowl and on convex O-SO steep slope. We decided to stay low (lower than 1300m ish) as snow was getting more wind affected close to the ridge and skied shoulder with tress, lots of powder. Climbing up a second run in powder 8's, we trigger a small isolated slab on a SO convex slope. We skied trees and it was nice. Lots of spatial variabilies was observed during the day and wind/snow was still on when we left.
