Comments
Great day in the Island Alps. Up to 50cm of low density storm snow overlies a thin crust, which was producing significant settlements (whumphing) at a variety of elevations on north to north-east terrain at tree line and below. Minimal wind slab observed at ridge top. One remote triggered size 1.5 avalanche (see report), otherwise no other activity (natural or skier triggered) observed over the day. Average snowpack depth 165cm at 1400m.
