Comments
Numerous avalanches starting in the alpine ran full path, some across the river and well up the other side of the valley. Most were in the last 24 hours or so; however, one buried our morning sled track. Snowing 2 cm/hr most of the day and up to 40 cm of storm snow at the head of the valley made for deep sledding, difficult trail breaking, and good skiing. Other than spreading out and quickly crossing runout zones, we were tucked in the trees and avoiding avalanche terrain.
