Comments
Was zero deg to start the day. Rapid loading with periods up to S4. North aspects had planar fractures on crust and surface hoar 5-10mm. On the ridge wind from the south was strong with slabs forming quickly on south facing upper aspects from our limited observations. Retreated to mellow slopes. Snow was dense but skied well.
Photos of two smaller releases.
