The day was:

• Warm

Avalanche conditions

• Rapid temperature rise to near or above 0°C or wet surface snow.

Beautiful Sunny day to the Sub-summit. Decided not to venture further into steeper terrain given avi forecast and rapid warming.

Could see natural slides on distant slopes (yak).

Snow was like mashed potatoes, wet, heavy, nearly impossible to turn.
