Comments

Excellent day out skiing on a blue bird day!

We started early and headed to the big Kahuna. The snow was pretty darn hard but it made for easy skinning. We gained the couloir by skinning up and transitioned around 1600m. The ski down was super fun, but lots of variable hard snow (sticking to the center of the gully helps). It definitely gets quite icy and hard on the bottom half.

Afterwards, we ski over to Fraser chutes to do a lap on a SE aspect. It was around 330pm when we skied snow and we found excellent, soft/slushy conditions. The snow quality deteriorated as soon as the slope flattens out.

Overall, great spring skiing, especially on solar aspects!!
