Comments
Acouple of groups ski touring South Side paths and Chief Pascal. Avoided more aggressive steep start zones. 20cm soft Storm slab Below Treeline (1700-1850m); 30-40 windslab in specific lee slopes above this, all sitting on a melt-freeze crust (April 10). This was reactive to skier traffic at treeline and slightly below treeline, with a few skier controlled size 1-1.5 avalanches on N aspects between here and Cheif Pascal, and shooting cracks in drifts along ridges. One Sz 2 natural wind slab observed (best bet - Friday evening's wind loading) under cornice in Cheques in the Mail (treeline NW lee). Great ski quality at treeline, but Storm snow became moist below 1600m.
