Comments
We were pleasantly surprised to find around 15cm of new snow. Once we transitioned into some lee terrain it was up to 40cm of fresh loading. This new slab remained rather soft (4F-) all the way up to 2300m. It was reactive to our sled cuts on a NE asp @ 2300m. Failing 40 cm deep and sliding on a facet/surface hoar layer( mostly Fc with some evidence of SH remaining). The wind was a constant mod from the south for the majority of the day. This pushed us into the timber when we found surprisingly great lines!
