Comments
Spent three whiteout days in the Blackcomb backcountry. Strong wind with lots of new snow built storm slabs on all aspects 30-50 cm deep. They were touchy on Monday, with slopes above 30 degrees sliding as we approached and propagating far. Accidentally triggered several size 1-1.5 storm slabs from ridge top with no involvement.
