Comments
Plenty of evidence of large recent slides from earlier in the week up to size 2.5. One size 2 occurred naturally later in the day after extensive sun exposure. We skied by it on our descent. Plenty of pin wheeling occurred on sun exposed slopes. Shaded slopes above 1400m held cold snow.
Multiple hail showers for short durations occurred during the day.
By mid afternoon the snow was isothermal below 1100m and would have been next to impossible to travel through without skis.
