Comments

Skied a couple laps in the east facing bowl off lightning strike summit. Some wind slab had built up on our first lap, stayed non-reactive for the lap. Upper 30m had about 10cm soft snow on a thin, breakable glassy sun crust. Soften up through the decent. Second lap the wind slab had thickened a bit and became slightly reactive. Both rider managed a decent amount of sluff, about 4-6cm deep slab. Probably extended ourselves more than we should have the second lap, noting some observed pinwheels on our skin up. We had whumpfing and settling on the convexs on the skin up lighting strike ridge, no shooting cracks. Observed some old avy debris on the small north facing chutes of the ridge.
