Comments
Miserable wet approach to 3rd lake with high winds and heavy precip. Gathered all of our courage to reach the FL.
FL at 1800 with very decent snow starting 2000. 5cm ski pen on firm but softened wind slab.
From 1800 to 2100. 5cm storm slab with easy planar hand shear; over 25cm older dense and moist wind slab with similar hand shear results.
Storm snow partially flushed by skiers, and so did isolated storm slabs on unsupported features. Deeper instability was not triggered by skicut on convex rolls.
