Loop tour of Hankin Area we observed:
- up to 5cm of new snow
- 5cm windcrust in affected alpine areas, lee to SE winds
- Extended Column Test, Treeline East Aspect 1290m 30 deg open slope gave no result - test depth 100cm. Dec 6 crust probed at 140cm
-observed surface hoar down 10cm in 2 test profiles
- Ski cutting produced no results in area tested
- 2 recent loose dry avalanches size 1 - steep, N facing Alp terrain.
- Numerous older size 1-2 loose dry various aspects
- significant wind affect in upper alpine areas
