Comments
We had a great afternoon at Fraser Chutes. Temperatures were pretty consistent around 0c, and the snow felt a little heavy.
We didn't dig a pit, but we thought the snow felt pretty stable. At around 1150m you could definitely feel a hard slab under about 20-30cm of powder snow (I couldn't punch through the slab with the handle of my pole). We didn't go higher than 1200m.
Visibility was not great all day with overcast clouds and periods of fog. No precip and very calm winds until about 3pm (moderate snow with light SE/E winds).
