Comments
Skier was cutting across a small opening in the trees below a roll on the lowest feature of the run powder 8s and trigger a small pocket ~Size 0.5 or smaller, then was standing in the slope and attempted to escape to the dense tree cover on their left and when doing so triggered this avalanche size 1-1.5 which broke around them pulling them through the trees below. Skier was on the surface, no major injuries but a bit rattled, lost a ski and hit their head and ribs. Skier then took my skis and walked back through to the ski hill where they could be assisted by ski patrol and I bootpacked back to the ski hill with their other ski.
