Comments
Another AST 2 in White Pass started today. We were primarily interested in the sensitivity of the newly formed wind slab from strong to moderate south winds last night and through the day. We were able to ski cut size 1+ wind slabs at will on north features at upper treeline elevations. Crown were up to 50cm thick, propagation was impressive, and these avalanches ran far for the mellow terrain they were in. -5C most of the day with flurries but not much accumulation.
