Comments
Made it above the clouds today to enjoy some sun. We saw several occurrences of slab avalanches up to size 2.5 that were +48hours old that failed on the Mid Dec surface hoar/facet layer. There was evidence of warm temperatures over the weekend with pinwheeling and snowballing on south facing aspects. Our profile had results on both the Jan 5th surface hoar layer down 30cm and the Mid Dec layer down 60cm.
