Comments
Great riding conditions and beautiful sun, with no signs of instability in the morning. There were some wind slabs higher in the alpine that we steered clear of in favour of riding the excellent soft snow below. In the afternoon the heat of the sun was melting the snow on our skis, and the surface snow seemed to be consolidating a bit more. Skiing out at about 4:20 heard one whoomph. Looking up at the slopes that had been skied, we saw some ski tracks heading into the debris of an avalanche that looked to be possibly remote triggered. There were also tracks coming out of the bottom of the debris pile.
