Amazing sledding today on both side’s of the pass. One of those days where It just doesn’t get any better! We saw a lot of terrain today and felt comfy pushing into big terrain features. Testing features at tree line and in the alpine we got no results. The recent storm snow feels well bonded to old surfaces.
The south west winds ramped up early afternoon transporting snow into new windslabs. On the east side of the pass we observed a lot of snow transport at ridge top with natural windslab releases in lee features.
Temps were 0c around paddy peak and warmer inland. With the long spring days, we’re planning our trips to avoid traveling on or under solar aspects later in the day.
