Comments
I Skiier triggered a size one avalanche. Altitude 2030m , east aspect, treeline. Localized convex roll. 20cm deep wet storm slab avalanche which propagated about 30 feet across the slop from the convexity . It knocked me off feet and carried me down hill through some trees but only about 20 feet and I wasn’t buried. Could have easily dumped me into a tree well, feeling lucky. We noticed and released lots of small slabs of storm snow all day, skiing in the trees, seems like all aspects although we were mainly on easterly slopes.
