Comments
30cms new snow in the trees. Denser wind affected snow in open areas. Members of our party who were skinning up through the trees reported shooting cracks through the new snow. These sometimes involved the January 18 crust, totaling 30-50cm deep, and sometimes only involved poorly bonded new snow to recent surface hoar, 20-30cm deep.
