Alpine: W Slopes 1-2” wind effected crust on soft snow, felt sugary and “flowed” underfoot but ski track was stiff on the way down.
Treeline: 50-60cm pole penetration variable 70-150cm depth, very slow skiing, loose dry powder, mild traces of transportation
