Comments
We skied glacier and moraine features in the south end of White Pass today. Skiing was quite good on sheltered aspects and in gully features. Snow depth on north aspects varied from 150cm-200cm. We travelled on all aspects and saw no signs of instability. A snow profile on a sheltered, north facing slope at 1400m revealed 150cm of snow. 80cm settled snow (1f to F) lay over top of 70cm of facets. We had moderate, sudden collapse compression test results down 80cm on the facets. There was no crust in this profile.
