Comments
Avalanches were not the only hazard on our mind today at Window. It was -19 when we left staging and north west winds made travel kind of uncomfortable. Between windslabs and windchill we decided the alpine was off limits for us today. We went for a little rip in the bowl before walking up to treeline for some exercise. In sheltered terrain above 2000 m we found about 130 cm of snow. We sought out the softer snow out of the wind and in the trees with no slab properties.
Trail conditions from Atlas staging are decent. The trail up to window is still a bit rugged.
