Comments
Had an exploratory day up Mt.Bracey in the Anzac. We saw a couple flocks of ptarmigan and found some good powder at lower elevations. In upper treeline and alpine the winds have hammered and scoured the snowpack down to ice and sastrugi on west and south slopes - and wind slabs on north and east ones. We saw one large (size 2) avalanche on a north east facing alpine slope that looked to be a couple of days old but nothing fresh.
